BOX AI Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

BOX AI ("BOX", "we", "us") is a boxing training app. This policy explains what information the app uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. We built BOX so that most of your data never leaves your iPhone.

The short version

Information stored on your device

BOX stores the following locally on your iPhone:

iCloud. BOX does not sync your data to iCloud. It stays on your iPhone and is included in your normal iPhone backup if you have one turned on. Video clips stay only on the iPhone that recorded or imported them.

Camera and movement tracking

BOX uses your camera for live sparring, pad drills, camera drills and recording practice clips. Pose detection (Apple Vision on your device) turns each camera frame into body-joint positions on your iPhone. These frames are processed in memory and are not stored or uploaded. Clips are only saved if you choose to record or import one.

Information sent for AI features

Some features use AI providers to generate content. Each request is sent from the app to our server (hosted on Vercel), which forwards it to the provider. We use Google (Gemini) and, as a backup, Alibaba Cloud (Qwen). What is sent depends on the feature you use:

Feature

What is sent

Coach chat

Your messages and a short summary of your training (profile, recent sessions, rank, review corrections, style focus)

Program and next-week planning (including the plan built at the end of onboarding)

Your onboarding answers (such as name if given, age, body measurements, stance, experience, goal, style, injuries or limitations, equipment, schedule and coach tone), the result of your first camera round, a summary of recent training and the drill catalog

Nutrition targets

The details you enter (such as age, height, weight, sex if provided, activity) and your planned training

Food estimates

Your food description and, if you add one, the food photo

Clip reviews and fighter style studies

A few small still-image strips cut from the part of the clip you choose, cropped around the boxer, plus movement measurements made on your phone. The full video and audio are never sent.

Session debriefs

Measured results of the session you just finished

We do not send your Apple ID, contacts, location or device identifiers with these requests. Our server receives your IP address as part of any internet connection; it uses a one-way hash of it for a few minutes to limit abuse and does not keep request content. The AI providers process requests under their own terms and privacy policies.

Food barcode lookups

If you scan a barcode, BOX looks up the product number in the public Open Food Facts database. Only the barcode number is sent.

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details. We use Superwall to show subscription offers and manage subscription status. Superwall receives an anonymous app user identifier, your subscription status and a few coarse training facts used to decide which offer to show (experience level, goal, session length, stance, number of training days, number of sessions and clips) and a short summary of your plan so the offer can show it (your first session's title and length, planned training days per week and daily calorie target). See Superwall's privacy policy for how it handles data.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, BOX schedules reminders on your device (for example, on your training days). With your permission, it may also send occasional offers about BOX membership. You can turn either off in BOX Settings or in iOS Settings.

What we don't do

Children

BOX is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you are under 18, please use BOX with a parent's or guardian's permission. Nutrition guidance for under-18s is limited and should be reviewed with a qualified professional.

Keeping and deleting your data

Health and safety

BOX provides general training information, not medical advice. Boxing carries a risk of injury. Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise program, and stop if you feel pain.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information. Because BOX keeps your data on your device, you can view, change or delete it directly in the app. For any request or question, contact us at huseinhakim@iconmediaedge.com.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
